Local Area Information
A warm greeting awaits from the friendly Shumbalala team who are on hand to personally welcome you to their special lodge. Set under a canopy of trees on the banks of the Monwana river, the thatched spacious lodge and deck overlook the riverbed and waterhole frequented by game. A small number of guests ensures exclusivity and privacy.
Accommodation
Four spacious chalets all have a private viewing deck, overhead fans, air-conditioning, open fireplaces, and a "picture window" bathroom with outside shower. The two-bedroomed 225sqm Presidential Suite offers a dining room, lounge and a unique retractable deck covering your own private pool as well as a huge viewing deck.
Facilities
Watch the game from the decks, spend lazy days at the pool, birdwatch, read in the library or choose a gift from the curio shop. Excellent cuisine and open-air fireside dinners are an occassion. Select a fine wine from the unique underground cellar overlooking the waterhole.
Activities
Early morning and late afternoon game drives with qualified and experienced rangers and game trackers with a choice of two open landrovers, one with canopy and, for the more adventurous, bush walks accompanied by your knowledgeable ranger. The Big Five, as well as cheetah, smaller game and birds of prey are encountered, and leopard, considered to be the most prized sighting, are often spotted.
