Lodges Overview

At Akeru Safari Lodge, situated in the pristine wilderness of the Timbavati Nature Reserve, which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park ecosystem, you will find a refuge - a place of exquisite beauty and peace.

Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodges are situated in the northern sector of the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The décor is characterized by a seamless blend of authentic African design with eclectic European elegance.

Djuma Game Reserve (Djuma is Shangaan for The Roar of the Lion) comprising some 9500ha of private traversing is situated in the Sabi Sand Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park and offers guests the ultimate in guided safaris and accommodation in three unique lodges
The beauty of Dulini lies in the exclusivity of its luxurious accommodation. Embraced under a leafy canopy, 6 traditionally thatched suites grace the banks of the Mabrak River.
Kirkman's Kamp offers guests eighteen colonial style cottages, each with private verandas and magnificent views of the bush. The air-conditioned cottages all have en-suite bathrooms featuring ball and claw baths.
Our Exeter Leadwood Lodge is unique in that it only has 4 rooms, making it the most exclusive camp in the Sabi Sands Reserve, accommodating only 8 guests at any one time. Not to be outdone, the group in its entirety is able to host groups as large as 72 in varying aspects of luxury
River Private Game Lodge comprises eight double suites. All suites are equipped with en-suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, private plunge pool, mini bar, air-conditioning, overhead fans, private lounge, direct dial telephone and game-viewing deck, hairdryer, insect spray and mosquito repellent.

During the 1870's, high in the crevices of the Drakensberg escarpment which rises to the west of Sabi Sabi, gold was discovered. To transport the gold, the parliament of the Old Transvaal Republic commissioned a railway line from the interior to Delagoa Bay in Mozambique. A branch railway, known as the Selati Line, crossed the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
